Honey News: Champagne Taste, Beer Money

I was reading the blog Urban Superwoman and it got me to thinking about how much money my family puts out into the world that does not really benefit us. I mean, of course, we have to pay our necessary bills...food, water, shelter, transportation, clothing, baby-sitting and utilities. After that, however, most of our money goes to paying off loan debt...educational and recreational debts that we have incurred over the course of our lives.
We don't use credit cards for purchases, we use only the money we have access to directly...our paychecks. So all of our debts will be paid off in a year or two. As far as the college loan, law school was expensive, so it will take a while. I am just looking to get that lucrative government attorney job that helps me pay off my loan...a work in progress.
However, all that said...
What is fresh in 2008 is living within your means, but saving for those very FEW things you really crave...like I am craving this...I am sure I have mentioned it before, but let me mention it once more:

The Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr. Q Hilier Hobo ($398)

and these bad babies:
